What the clinician needs to assess
Assessment should consider the degree of laxity, skin thickness, facial volume and previous fillers, threads or surgery. Explain which change you want and what you wish to preserve. A limited procedure may not fit a substantial repositioning goal. The clinician should also discuss your ability to follow activity instructions and attend review if the skin contour remains uneven.
Questions about your thread lift plan
How much lifting is realistic for my tissue laxity?
Why are this thread and placement pattern proposed?
How would persistent dimpling or an exposed thread be assessed?
What would revision or removal involve?

Explore procedure & clinicsUnderstand the proposed method
A limited thread procedure: Placement is planned for a specific area and modest goal; count alone does not define the effect.
A surgical lifting consultation: May be appropriate when the desired repositioning exceeds a limited thread-based approach.
Observation or a different nonsurgical target: Skin quality and volume problems may need a different discussion rather than more threads.
Discuss risk before consent
Possible complications include bruising, swelling, discomfort, infection, asymmetry, dimpling, visible or palpable threads and thread exposure. A persistent contour problem or exposed thread needs examination. Removal or revision can itself be an intervention. Ask who is responsible for reviewing these problems and how urgent contact works after you leave Korea.
Agree the follow-up plan
Follow the clinician’s instructions for entry-point care, medicines and activities. Swelling or unevenness can affect early appearance, but worsening pain, redness, drainage or a protruding thread should prompt review. Do not manipulate or attempt to remove a thread yourself. A travel plan should leave a practical route to examination if a problem develops.
